Program: • Students enroll in : • Global Governance Seminar(Weeks 1 & 2) • Internship Placement(Weeks 3 to 8)
Global Governance Seminar • Small (maximum 15 students), two week seminar • Seminar covers: • Historical evolution of international & non governmental organizations • How international and non-governmental organizations structure international politics • How Geneva became a center for such organizations • On site visits to some of the major organizations • Seminar is taught in Geneva by local faculty • Earns 3 credits for PSC 4875
Internship • Full-time (e.g. 40 hours) internship • Internships available in following fields: • International Security/Conflict Resolution • International Law & Human Rights • Refugee & Humanitarian Work • International Finance and Trade • Economic Development • Labor • Environment • Health • Over 140 international organizations and non-governmental organizations are located in Geneva • Organization chosen in consultation with student to match his/her interests • Earns 3 credits towards PSC or other social science internship course

Accommodations: • Located in the heart of Geneva on a 5 acre property known as Le Cenacle • Accommodations provide single bedrooms, with shared bathrooms & toilets. • Also available are • Laundry • Wireless internet. • Breakfast provided • Fully equipped communal kitchen.
Centrally located: • 15 minute walk to city center • 5 minutes walk to beautiful city park • 4 minutes walk to grocery stores • 2 minutes walk to public transportation • Blue circle indicates location of Le Cenacle

Qualifications: • GPA 3.0/4.0 • Faculty reference • Full-time university status without disciplinary action • To receive full credit transfer: B or higher grade in seminar and satisfactory internship evaluation
Program includes: • Housing • Tuition • Internship placement • Various orientations • Breakfast • Excursions • Public transportation pass Costs: • Total Cost: $ 8000 • Airfare is not included
Schedule: • June 13: Depart US* • June 15/16: Orientation in Geneva • June 19-30: Global Governance Seminar • July 3-August 11: Internship: • August 12: Depart Switzerland *Students can leave earlier but have to be in Geneva by June 14 • .
