  1. CMS Products Issued New Patent for Secure Erase 1888PressRelease - CMS Products granted Secure Erase patent for deleted files on a computer hard drive. Aliso Viejo, Calif. - CMS Products Inc. announced today the issuance to it by the US Patent Office of a patent that covers Secure Erase of deleted files. The patent for invention number 8,627,020 is for Secure Erase of deleted files on a computer hard drive. "This latest patent makes claims in connection with our technology that allows for the secure erasure of deleted files on a computer's hard drive", said Ken Burke, President, CMS Products. "It expands the number of CMS patents issued to 13, which adds confirmation to CMS Products leadership in developing technologies in data security, data backup technology and data management," he said. The patent method assures that deleted files are securely erased and overwritten with multiple overwrite patterns which completely remove the deleted file and render it unrecoverable with current file recovery technology. "Data security is a growing concern in the marketplace today. Individuals as well as corporations are focused on securing their data and making sure that sensitive files are safely stored or destroyed," said Mr. Burke. "CMS has various patents covering the lifecycle of data management and has committed resource to continual development in secure data management."
