Virginia Plan-- Proportion (Current House) Advantages: More democratic, More Representative of the Will of the Majority Disadvantages: Minorities could be hurt by Majorities. (Natural Rights) New Jersey Plan--Equal- (Current Senate) Advantages: Protects the rights of minorities. Disadvantages--When there are genuine disagreements on issues, this method seems less fair. 4 Major Differences One: Representation
Virginia Plan-- Advantage. Checks and Balances. (harder to slide things through quickly that could create harms) Disadvantage: Nothing ever gets Done. New Jersey Plan-- Advantage: More Efficient. Disadvantage: Less Deliberative Two: 2 House vs 1 house Legislature
Virginia Plan--Legislative appointments Advantage: Decision Reflect the will of the People Disadvantage: Undermines Constitutional Protections.
