  3. XAM Projects • AFI 13-213 IC#1 (OPR: Mr Jackson) • Status: • IC on its way to AF/XO for approval • Hope to publish by 24 Nov 04 • Contains NVD guidance, updates to Atch 2 (airfield lighting chart), new AFSC and training updates

  4. XAM Projects • AM Contingency Ops Guide (OPR: MSgt Greene) • Status: • Published on the AFFSA website • Final product to be integrated into a single USAF AOF contingency checklist

  5. XAM Projects • AFI 13-207 Revision (OPR: Mr Jackson) • Status: • FAA/TSA has adopted new procedures • TSA/FAA staffing changes through the PBFA for DoD-wide review • Had been on hold pending adoption of TSA/FAA guidance, but now considering publishing an IC while we wait

XAM Projects • Joint Airfield Criteria Standard (OPR: Maj Merritt) • Status: • New initiative through the Joint Airfield Operations Advisory Council • Goal: all services use the same airfield criteria during contingency operations (LZs included) • Challenge: getting all the right players together

  7. XAM Projects • AM Support Equipment UTC (OPR: MSgt Greene) • Status: • Gen II trucks and trailers now on-line • Working radios and a funding line

  8. XAM Projects • AM Modernization and Integration (OPR: Maj Merritt) • Status: • IPT (down the hall) is working to draft AM Strategic Plan…we’ve never really had one • Plan will enable us to focus limited resources on what we really need, determine future of AM ops

XAM Projects • AM Training for AOFs (OPR: Maj Merritt) • Status: • New IC to AFI 13-204 will contain guidance on appropriate level of training/certification for new AOFs • Expect officers to certify as AM Ops Coordinator at OTP, then qualify as AM Ops Coordinator at first base…should always be flightline drivers certified

  10. XAM Projects • Airfield Management Operations (AMOS) School (OPR: TSgt Sapp) • Status: • We’ll refine number of courses needed per year • Examining taking the show on the road • Need your feedback to ensure course remains useful

XAM Projects • AM Contract SOWs (OPR: Mr Davenport) • Status: • Working with AF contracting to determine the AF way ahead • Draft SOW at AF contracting office for review before we send it to MAJCOMs for final comment • Final product will be a template for units to use when developing base level contract
