Where are we going with musculoskeletal modelling? John Rasmussen, Professor of Biomechanics, Aalborg University, Denmark Thursday 13.12.2012, 10:00-11:00, Room 064, Skempton building Musculoskeletal modelling is a technology with a considerable promise that has matured over the past decade and is now being adopted by advanced industries for development of orthopaedic devices and consumer products, especially cars. Further success of this technology relies on the solution of a number of remaining problems among which are development of body models with higher fidelity, development of reliable validation methods and development of the workflows and best practice traditions such as those established in older fields of CAE, notably in finite element analysis . This presentation focuses on a number of initiatives in this respect currently undertaken by the AnyBody Research Project at Aalborg University. A number of current challenges will be listed and preliminary and final solutions will be presented. The presentation will contain several examples.
