Trash Pollution • Stop Trash Pollution • The average American discards 4.34 pounds of garbage every day. • If we put all of the solid waste collected in the U.S. in a line of average garbage trucks, that line of trash would cross the whole country, extending from New York City to Los Angeles, more than 100 times.

  3. Climate Change • Climate Change is the lasting and significant change in the distribution of weather patterns over periods of time. • It melts the polar ice caps. • Climate change may be limited to a specific region or can occur across the Earth. • It makes the Earth’s temperature rise 1 degree every year or so.
