What’s the Point? • To be truly prepared for college and digitally literate, you need to be familiar with databases and other online resources that are academically vetted or, in some cases, “peer reviewed.” • You need to understand the Web tools you’re using and where the information you access online comes from. • You need to be able to judge whether the information you find is good or flawed in some way. • You need to use the information you find responsibly and ethically by citing your resources correctly in MLA format.

  5. Electronic Resources • In addition to traditional books, we are starting to add eResources to our catalogue. • Some of these are catalogued links. No password required. • Some are resources that can be accessed through our Follett Shelf. These resources require a user name and password.

  8. Resource Lists • You can create your own resource list to manage your resources by Creating an Account. • You can also access the Public Lists for resources lists for specific projects. Create Account Resource Lists

EBSCO Databases • Oak Hall subscribes to EBSCO databases. • USER NAME oakhallschool/PASSWORD library • There are tutorials available on the Oak Hall Middle and Upper School Library Wiki that will help you use these databases effectively. • Create your own username and password on EBSCO databases to save searches and materials.
