The unusual birth of Jesus Christ • The angel Gabriel is Telling Mary something very important. He is telling her she will be the mother of God’s Son! Mary is very excited! She is happy because she will be the mother of the Saviour. She will name the baby Jesus.
Josef takes care of Maria • Josef is taking Maria on a long trip in Bethlehem, because the Rome’s ruler August has declared census. • Every man of Judea (the country in the South of Palestine) had to go into the place where his ancestors lived. Josef was a descendant of the king David. • So Josef and Maria leave Nazareth for Bethlehem.
An angel appeared to the shepherds • The shepherds are outside taking care of their sheep. Suddenly they see an angel. He tells them Jesus has been born in a barn in the town of Bethlehem. Now many other angels have come. They are praising God because Jesus came to save us: • Glory to God is in Heaven! • Peace is in over the Earth! • Welfare and piety are into the people!
The shepherds run into Bethlehem • The shepherds run into town to find the baby. They find him in a barn, just as the angel said. Maria is cuddling her baby. Jesus doesn’t look like any baby. He is very nice! He is God’s Son! • God’s Son is born in a barn where sheep and donkeys live. He was a great king in heaven before he came down to earth as a baby.
The Wise Men give Jesus gifts • Three Wise Men from the East have come with presents for Jesus. They see a star that leads them to Jesus. They know Jesus will be very great and important: • - gold as a king • - chrism (aromatic oil) as a man • - incense(aromatic resin) as God • Gifts are keeping in Sankt Mountain Afon (Greece) now.

The Christmas story comes from the Bible • The first Noel the angel did say • Was to certain poor shepherds • In the fields as they lay. • In fields where the lay keeping their sheep • On a cold winter’s night that was so deep • They looked and saw a star • Shining in the East, beyond them far, • And to the Earth it gave great light, • And so it continued both day and night
