STRENGTHENING OF WESTERN RAILWAY EMPLOYEES UNION THROUGH I.T. • BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION • MY UNION WESTERN RAILWAY EMPLOYEES UNION (WREU) to which I belong have a lot of communication problems in the rapid growing IT WORLD. • Being a very big union having 156 thousand members on roll it has no such infrastructure to remain in close touch with the workers and to the brother labour organization.
CONTD: • To cope up with this problems, WREU should move to enhance IT skill among the leaders and the active members. • To establish instant contact and relation with the workers and to the brother orgations development of IT is indispensable.
TARGET GROUP • Twenty leaders comprising of 10 Divisional office bears and 10 youth office bears from different branches to be selected.
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES It will contribute to : Make WREU to be within the easy reach of the members and workers. Making it posible for the WREU to contact other organizations instantly and gether information on current affairs, throughout the world.
IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVES • AT THE END OF THE WORK PLAN THE TARGET GROUP ABLE TO : • Have good level of knolodge about computer activities and IT Skill. • Maintain close relation with workers as well as its branches. • To organise mass movement as and when required quickly.
INDICATORS OF ACHIEVEMENTS • Twenty leaders who will acquire the said IT knowledge will be able to receive & despatch e-mail in regular measure.
KEY OUT PUT • These Twenty trained leaders will be well equipped of IT and will also be able to remain in the main stream on IT FIELD.
ACTIVIVITIES • Hold discussion with the policy making leaders. • Will arrange introductory course training programme for three days. • After two months a seven days intermediates training course will be organised. • Follow up action programme will be taken up after every two months.
IN PUT Five computers, internet connection, one conferences hall on rent basis, accomadation to the participans, fooding,training materials and transportation cost,resourse persons etc.
Monitiring, Reporting and Evaluation A committee comprising of seven trained leaders will be formed to monitor, Report and to Evalute the development programme in regular basis.
