  4. Step 1: Pick What You Would Like to Design.   6. Make a List/ Make A Plan • Decide what will be placed in your design. • How big is each item? • How much does each item cost? • Will each item fit?

  7. Decide on a Basic Shape • Will your design be a circle, a square, a rectangle, a triangle or a combination?

  9. Make a Scale • Decide what scale you want to use for your design. • Will 1 inch = 5 feet? • Will 1 cm = 10 feet? • Will 1 cm = 1 yard? • Will 1 inch = 1,000 feet?

Possible Workers Needed • Carpenter (Carpet and Floors) - $15 an hour (one-time) • Mason (Brick/Cement/Concrete) - $25 an hour (one-time) • Paver (Parking Lots/ Asphalt/ Driveways) – $20 an hour (one-time) • Roofer (Roof) - $30 an hour (one-time) • Interior Designer (Inside Look) -$20 an hour (one-time) • Painter (Paint) - $25 an hour (Twice a year) • Plumber (Bathroom/ Sinks/ Water) - $25 an hour (one-time) • Electrician (Electric/ Lights) -$20 an hour (one-time) • Cable/Satellite/ Internet - $100 (monthly) • Inspector (Is it safe?) - $50 (one-time) • Heating/Air Conditioning - $25 an hour (twice a year) • Windows/ Doors - $20 a window, $100 a door • Locksmith/ Security- $15 an hour (daily) • Staff - $10 an hour (daily) (depends on store hours) • Managers- $12 an hour (daily) (depends on store hours) • Housekeeping - $10 an hour (daily) (depends on store horus)
