THD History • A TH Group in ANS was formed in 1978 • The Goals of TH Group were: • Advancement of TH Eng. & Sci. relating to Nuclear Power Industry • Promotion of quality in technical publications & presentations relating to Nuclear Thermal-Hydraulics • To establish, stimulate, and maintain quality technical & professional approaches in areas of Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics

  3. THD Financials • Project EOY Balance: ~20,500 • Recent Activity: • $5000 Landis Foundation • $1500 Student Conference Support (OSU) • $1000 NEED/ANS Scholarship • $1200 Honors and Awards

THD Activities • SNC 2005, 6/05, San Diego, Class 4 • ANS Winter Meeting, committed to 5 sessions, 30+ papers at DC meeting • ANS Annual Meeting, 4-5 sessions each of last 3 years, 28 papers at this meeting • Collaboration with INL on a workshop on RELAP5-3D (at this meeting) • Collaboration with ASME on ICONE organization and a seminar on CFD
