  1. Corduroy’s Number Adventure at Wal-Mart Project #10 Mrs. Holt KK-04

  2. We found the number 75. It tells how much you have to pay for something at Wal-Mart. 75-seventy-five

  3. We found this number at the end of an aisle. 13 tells you what aisle you are on so that you can find the food you want. 13 - thirteen

  4. This is salt and pepper. My mommy got some. It cost 50 cents. That’s what the sign said. 50 - fifty

  5. This sign said 100. We studied the number 100 at school. We put 100 stickers on our crown. 100 – one hundred

  6. This is the number 87. It tells how much something costs. I don’t remember what we were buying but this part of the store was cold. It was cold because the food had to stay cold. 87 – eighty-seven

  7. This is a sign for music. There were 45 songs on the CD or the DVD. I don’t know which one it was because they are the same size. I think it is not a movie, I think it is when you put your headphones in and music comes out. 45 – forty-five

  8. My reflection It was fun to look for numbers and I was happy. Wal-Mart has numbers everywhere. You have to know your numbers so you have enough quarters and dollars to buy the food you need. You also need to know your numbers so you can count your toys.

  9. I CHOSE CCSS STANDARD: CC.K.NBT.1 Work with numbers 11+ to gain foundations for place value. Understand that these numbers are composed of tens and ones. Domain: NBT: Number Operations in Base Ten: Relating numbers to our world. • AND ASKED MY STUDENT(S) TO CREATIVELY DEMONSTRATE THEIR UNDERSTANDING BY creating a PowerPoint or book about their math adventures with Corduroy. • TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: What numbers can Corduroy find in our world?
