We are the Rocky Creek Racers So let’s all scream and shout. Rocky Creek! We strive for success, every day. At Rocky Creek it’s the only way. With Reading and Writing, and math, too. We’re ready to learn and we know what to do.
So listen up bullies, you better beware. At Rocky Creek, there’s no time for that here. So come on everybody, lets sing and shout. We are the Racers without a doubt!

Last year we said we would move forward by… 1. Ensuring the success of each student. 2. Increasing the rigor in what we teach and what we expect from students.
One of the ways we will move forward is to make good use of our Title I funds. Annual Title I Meeting
What is TITLE 1? * School is identified by poverty level. (55.65% Free/Reduced Lunch Rate decrease of 2% from last year) * Students served based on academic needs not poverty level. * Highly Qualified Teachers (all RCE Teachers are currently Highly Qualified in the subjects they are teaching) * Smaller groups Extra resources for parents, teachers, and students. Strong Parent Involvement Component Federally Funded
Last year we used Title I funds for: 3 additional staff members: 1. Instructional Lead Teacher for Math 2. Instructional Lead Teacher for Reading 3. Parent Involvement Paraprofessional Completion of the purchase and installation of Instructional Technology for all rooms Purchase of computer subscriptions (BrainPop, Write Score, Accelerated Reader). Books and materials for teachers. Tutors Parent Involvement Materials
The tentative plan for Title I Funds this year: 3 additional staff members: 1. Instructional Lead Teacher for Math 2. Instructional Lead Teacher for Reading 3. Parent Involvement Paraprofessional The purchase of 80 iPads to use in classrooms to help facilitate the BYOT initiative. Tutors within the school day, after school, and in the summer. Purchase of computer subscriptions (BrainPop, Accelerated Reader, Head Sprout Reading Program). Parent Involvement Materials Stipends for teachers to engage in night and weekend planning sessions Professional learning opportunities for teachers.

Who is served in TITLE I? All students at RCE may utilize Title I resources and may receive Title I services. Based on rank order of needs Students may be served in reading and/or math.
How do students qualifyfor TITLE I Services ? 1. Failing/Low CRCT scores in Reading and/or Math 2. Other standardized test scores 3. Student formative assessment data 4. Teacher recommendation
Parent Survey: This will be sent home tomorrow. Please take a moment to complete it and send it back in. The information we receive is very valuable when we develop our schoolwide Title Plan and plan parent workshops.
Your Input is Needed: We would like to have your input in the Parent Compact, the Schoolwide Title I Plan, the Title I Budget, the RCE Continuous Improvement Plan. See the parent surveys for information about various opportunities to provide your input.
AYP/CCRPI • Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) went away. We now have the College Career Readiness and Performance Index (CCRPI). • Our CCRPI Score was: 84 (last year was an 82.7). • 4th highest in the county. (last year was 11th) • 1st in the south region and in our cluster. 2nd among Title I Schools • Scores ranged from a 62 to an 87.5. • New scores come out in October for this past year.
Goals for 2014-2015: Strategic Plan Focus Area: Student Achievement – All Subjects: Measureable Goal(s): On the 2015 Georgia Milestones…… The percentage of RCE students in grades 3-5 meeting or exceeding expectations will be 90% or above in all subject areas.
