  2. Short Answer Responses • In the dialogue at the beginning of “MDG,” Whitney empathizes with hunted animals. What does Rainsford learn about the feelings of hunted animals from his experience of being hunted? Use evidence from the text to support your answer. • A: Rainsford learns that animals who are being hunted have real emotions and feelings. • C: “Rainsford knew how an animal at bay feels…knew the full meaning of terror.” (36) • E: Before being hunted, Rainsford was the hunter, and he didn’t understand the terror of death. (for Monday’s warm up, you will respond to one of your own!)
