  1. 3 Simple Steps in using OneTouch Horizon Step 1: Turning the meter on With meter turned off, insert the strip into the meter test port. (Meter automatically turns on when strip is inserted.) DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON TO TURN THE METER ON. Step 2: Coding the meter When three dashes appear on screen “_ _ _”, press the button until it matches the code of strips. (When apply sample symbol appears before matching the codes, remove the strip and repeat step 1). Codes are from 1 to 49. Step 3: Applying blood sample When apply sample appears on screen, put the blood sample at the edge of strip & let the strip absorb the blood. DO NOT PUT THE BLOOD SAMPLE ON TOP OF THE STRIP. Test result appears on screen after 5 seconds.
