  1. • Aug 1-6 Feast of the Savior of the World or El Salvador del Mundo, patron saint of El Salvador.

  2. Overview of The Feast of Saviors • Feast of the Saviors of the World is also called August Feasts (Fiestas Agostinas). During this weeks of festivities they have a carnival, fireworks, dancing and parades. It is celebrated to pay due respect to Jesus Christ, the "Divine Savior of the World".

  3. "Divine Savior of the World" • He was important because the holiday is all about paying respect to Jesus and how he took all our sins away. The traditional "Bajada" (descent) of the Patron Saint (the Savior of the Word) parades the principal streets of downtown San Salvador, representing the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ. It is very important to the Salvadorians to celebrate the particular manifestation of Christ in honor of all he did.

  4. Por eso que queremos celebrarlo • Quiero celebrar El Salvador de Mundo porque se muestra el respecto de los salvadoreños para Jesús. La idea de un festival para Jesús es impresionante. Jesús era una figura muy respetada y creo es una buena idea. Me encantaría ver la bajada y festivales. El Salvador es un hermoso país y su festival es fascinante y divertido.
