  10. Don’t Be a Fool, Piracy Ain’t Cool! PIRACY DOESN’T PAY! On Aug 1, 2009, a federal court ordered a Boston University Student to pay $22,5oo per song he had pirated. Having stolen 30 songs, the total amount he owes is $675,000. If he had bought the songs off of iTunes, they would have cost him $29.70. Piracy is not limited to movies or songs.
