14. Social Implications • With the Internet pervading society internationally, issues have arisen which affect the huge amount of users all around the globe.

15. Dominance of the English Language • On the Internet, English is the dominant language. This is because the Internet was developed in the USA and the UK and so English has become the language of Online Communication. • This could cause other users who do not speak English to be excluded, which is in opposition to the Internets principle of globalisation.

16. Blurring of National Boundaries The Internet is an international phenomenon which is having an effect on people all over the world. There can be an alienation of those who do not have access to the Internet or are non internet-literate. This could be in terms of people and countries which cannot take advantage of cheaper, faster business and tapping into the global marketplace.
