Communication and Co-ordination • Web site created and launched in 2006 www.pacificwomenswatch.org.nz • Data base maintained – currently 500 listed names receiving information • Regular Newflashes sent to network • PWW(NZ) leaflet regularly updated • Reports by email or printed copy
1.2 Strengthening regional and international linkages • Advocacy on CEDAW • Participation at CSW • Implementation of Beijing Platform for Action in seminars and workshops • Member international caucus convened by NZ Ministry of Women’s Affairs
International Linkages • Support of UN Secretary-General’s campaigns on stopping violence against women • Links to UNIFEM, International Council of Women, Project Five-O Partners • Bridgebuilders International
KRA 2: Advocacy and Training 2.1 Advocacy • Resolutions sent to government and other NGOs • Stopping violence against women • Election year issues 2005 and 2008 • Dialogue with MWA, justiciary, NGOs
2.2 Training • Mentoring women of diverse cultures, refugee and migrant women • Data collection and analysis • Education on CEDAW process and outcomes • Reviewing CEDAW Committee’s concluding comments to New Zealand • Promoting CEDAW Optional Protocol
