  5. Scenario 1 HL7 to DICOM Modality Worklist Gateway DIMEX RT • Reads or receives HL7 from Lantis • Forwards a DICOM Modality Worklistto e.g. a CT • Manage the worklist (take finished appointments off)

CT Scanner Scenario 1 Send patient information to Gateway (e.g. utilizing HL7) Workflow SST Worklistgateway Import patient data and appointment Information into appointment database Send Worklist to CT LANTIS Mark appointment as finished and transfer images to PACS Transfer images to the gateway Examination DIMEX RT

Scenario 2 HL7 to DICOM Modality Worklist Gateway receiving appointments from HIS in parallel DIMEX RT • Reads or receives HL7 from Lantis • Reads a DICOM Modality Worklist from HIS • Forwards a DICOM Modality Worklistto e.g. a CT • Manage the worklist (take finished appointments off) • Route Images to where appointments came from

CT Scanner Scenario 2 Examination Transfer images to the gateway Workflow SST Worklistgateway Query HIS worklist (SCP) and introduce appointments to DIMEX Import patient data and appointment Information into appointment database LANTIS Send patient information to Gateway (e.g. utilizing HL7) Mark appointment as finished and transfer images to PACS HIS Send Worklist to CT DIMEX RT
