Why did they create the metric system? • The French Academy of Science created the Metric system because it was a necessity at the time. • Due to exploration and arcitechual needs .
What was the treaty of meter? • The treaty of meter was was a agreement created to preserve the metric system. These organizations helped – the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM); International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM).
Meter refinement 1791 The French Academy of Sciences decided in 1791 that the meter would be defined by the dimensions of the planet earth. It used the meridian line on the equator as an example.
