Getting to know each other: Self - introduction • Introduce yourself to the person behind you. Tell your name, where you are from and what you are studying at Ren Min University and why you are taking this class and one of your favorite hobbies.
Communicative English Welcome to Oralor Communicative English!
Objective: • By the end of this session, student should be able to state the objective of this course, state the definition of a friend, learn or discuss how to make and keep friends, how to be a friend, the quality of good friendship, ways to nurture friendship, the influence of the internet on friendship . Listen to conversations about blind date, basic greeting, and a chance meeting.Students will participate in a small group discussions and a debate on the influence of the internet on friendship.

Rules / Requirement • No cell phone usage in class • No cross talking • Respect where it is due • No electronic remission of homework • There will be a deduction for late works • Know in this class, you will be talking a lot! This is not a writing class nor a reading but speaking class- Therefore, you will do a lot of speaking / presentations!
Course requiment • Be in class • Participate • Do your homework • Prepare talks to present in class-not from the internet or someone else’s work • Bring your book and a notebook to class • Be on time • No plagiarism- you cannot copy anything form the internet to share in class/ neither from your friends, book or others.
Grading: • Three to four oral quizzes - 10% • Midterm-20% • Final- 60% • Class participation • Attendance & 10% • Homework completion
