Apollo • The god of music Prophesy, and later the Sun god. • Greek and Roman god with many, and sometimes conflicting attributes. • He is a patron of intellectual pursuits, the arts, and prophesy. • He is sometimes called Smitheus. • Shoots plague arrows to punish disrespectful humans.
Aphrodite • Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty, love, and sexuality. • is the mother of the god of love, Eros (more familiar as Cupid). • She is the wife of the ugliest of gods Hephaestus. • Aphrodite's birth story makes her relation to the other gods and goddesses of Mt. Olympus. • Hesiod says Aphrodite arose from the foam that gathered around the genitals of Uranus. • The poet known as Homer calls Aphrodite the daughter of Zeus .
Athena • . She is the patron goddess of Athens. • Goddesses of wisdom, arts and crafts, and war. • She is said to be the favorite daughter of Zeus. • She gave Athens the gift of the olive tree.
