The two line segments AC and BD joining opposite vertices are called diagonals of thequadrilateral ABCD 1.Diagonals of quadrilateral AC and BC are two diagonals.
Two sides that have a common vertex are known as adjacent sides. eg. EH and EF Any two sides that do not have a vertex in common are known as opposite sides. eg. EH and FG 2.Adjacent Sides and Opposite Sides
Two angles of a quadrilateral are said to be adjacent angles, if they have a side of the quadrilateral as a common arm. <A, <B are adjacent because the side A B is a common arm of <A and <B. Two angles of the quadrilateral that are not adjacent are called opposite angles. <A and <C are opposite angles. 3.Adjacent Angles and Opposite Angles.
This part is called the interior of the quadrilateral. The Interior of a Quadrilateral
The blue shaded portion is called the exterior of the quadrilateral. 4.The Exterior of a Quadrilateral.
