The King Returns! 14 Nov 1991
Lets read aloud togetherher text from that evening: Matthew 25:35-36 (ESV)
Matthew 25:35-36 (ESV) 35“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”
Matthew 25:37-38 (ESV) 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?
Matthew 25:39-40 (ESV) 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Mother Teresa then asked us all to look at our fist.
Matthew 25:40 (ESV) 40And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Matthew 25:40 (ESV) 40And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, You Did It To Me.’

“She Did What She Could” - Mark 14:8 NIV
Another soft-spoken woman. Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus.
read aloud together Mark 14:3 (NIV) Jesus Anointed at Bethany 3While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.
read aloud together Mark 14:4-5 (NIV) 4Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? 5It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.
read aloud together Mark 14:6-7 (NIV) 6“Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me.”
read aloud together Mark 14:8 (NIV) 8“She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. 9Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”
Her breaking that alabaster jar was a Biblical form of giving something entirely to God.
Giving entirely to God is like emptying ourselves before Him.
