  2. Habitat • Grey wolves have the longest range of any animal • They have lived in all habitats in the northern hemisphere except for tropical forest. • They can be found in North America, Asia and Europe.

  3. Grey wolves are the predators • No animal hunts the Grey wolf except for humans. • Grey wolves are at the top of the food chain

  4. Prey • The Grey Wolf is a carnivore • Its natural diet consists of solely meat. List of prey: deer, moose, caribou, elk, bison and musk-oxen as well small animals such as beaver, hares and other small rodents.

  5. Adaptations • Grey wolves have a very thick coat of fur. • They have very keen senses. • They can run up to 40 mph. • They have great staminafor running. • They have long legs.

  6. Facts Adult grey wolves are about 32 inches in height They can grow up to 6.5 feet in length. They weigh 55-130 lbs. Males typically weigh more. Lifespan is 7 to 8 years.

  7. More Facts • The wolf is the largest in the wild canine family. • Mortality rate for pups is as high as 50% • Wolves are very territorial. • The wolf is an ultimate predator at the top of the food chain. • Wolves are just awesome!
