Big question Does size change the height of how high it goes? Because rockets come in different sizes.
Hypothesis I think the taller the rocket the higher it goes. I think this because the rocket is higher and can reach a higher altitude.
5 interesting facts • There are more than 300 types of rockets • The smallest rocket is 6 inches • Rockets are more than 2000 years old • Some rockets take 4 or 5 years to build • The largest rocket made in the US was the Saturn V
Experiment Materials • Model rockets (small, medium, and large) • Binoculars • Launch pad • Something to record data • I had no control groups or variables. Step by step instructions • Get all the materials. • Build the rockets. • Set up the launch pad. • Launch the rockets. • Look through the binoculars and at the highest point write down the estimated height.
Analysis of data Yes my experiment tested what I wanted to do. I know because I could estimate the height of the rocket.
Conclusion No, my hypothesis was not correct because the shorter one went higher. I would change the rocket engine types and see if that does anything.
Questions I had Would weather change the results? Would wind change the results? Would the weight change the results?
