  3. Question . Does recycled paper break down faster than new paper?

  4. Hypothesis • I predict that the recycled paper would break down faster because recycled paper is already used.

  5. Material • Recycled paper • New paper • Digital camera

  6. Procedures • get 9 pieces of plain copy paper and 9 pieces of recycled paper • Have 3 people crumple one plain and one recycled paper 3 times • Crumple each one up • Open each paper • See if the folded parts fall apart • Record the results

  7. Conclusion • My hypothesis was correct because I predicted that the recycled paper would break down faster and it been used. The answer to my question was recycled paper. My investigation was complicated because it takes time to tare the different papers. I had a problem with the time of waiting long to tare the papers a several times.
