Cash ElementaryVolunteer Training Session • Volunteer Attendance Record • Provides a record of time logged in as a volunteer at the school • Protects volunteer, should they have an accident while on school grounds • Cash Elementary uses: NSSI/Computer Check-in/out • Important to Sign-in & Log your HOURS!! • We will have a back-up/sign-in book in the office • Count all hours - even those working on things at home!
Cash ElementaryVolunteer Training Session • Cash Elementary Volunteer Name Badges • MUST be worn at all times by volunteers • Volunteers can keep their badge at the school - they will be located in the cabinet beneath the Sign-in/out Laptop. (Thank you, Tammy!!!!!)
Cash ElementaryVolunteer Training Session • School calendar (provided on the inside back cover of the volunteer handbook) • School map – Keep handout for quick reference • Work with our Teachers to plan times • Exchange email & contact info with teachers • Periodic check-ins with Volunteer Coordinator (as needed)

Cash ElementaryVolunteer Training Session • Screening Policy - Volunteers are divided into 3 categories; • Level 0 Volunteers: No formal screening, registration or training required; (those who do not have direct contact or supervision of students). • Examples: office assistants, PTA fundraising, proctors, outdoor projects - landscaping, concessions, school fairs, student teachers/interns under direct supervision of a teacher
Cash ElementaryVolunteer Training Session • Level 1 Volunteers • Those volunteers who have direct access with and controlled access to students under the supervision of the professional staff. (Ex: Reading/lunch buddies, class volunteers, day field trip chaperones, Wings tutors & health room assistants • Level 1 volunteers will be screened by the VC/FA and must complete the online Volunteer Services Application form (only the section that applies to this level of volunteer)
Cash ElementaryVolunteer Training Session • Level 2 Volunteers • Volunteers for whom add’l screening is required because they have direct contact with and supervision of students for extended periods of time without direct supervision of the professional staff (Ex: Volunteer athletic coaches, after hours remediation tutors and one-on-one mentors, overnight field trip chaperones). • Level 2 Volunteers must complete the entire online Volunteer Services Application form, providing two references.
