  3. Fact 1 • Truman loved to play cards, horseshoes, and the piano.

  4. Fact 2 • In his first six months as President Truman brought an end to World War II, which included dropping two atomic bombs on Japan.

  5. Fact 3 • In 1948, the newspapers had already declared his opponent the winner, when in fact, Truman had won the election.
