  2. Here’s what you should know by the end of today!!! • Before you leave class, you should able to identify and explain at least 3 techniques or methods used to keep the male reproductive system healthy!

  3. Here’s what you can do… • 1. Bath regularly • Use soap and water • A build-up of secretions called smegma can form under the foreskin of uncircumcised men. • If you are uncircumcised, gently pull back the foreskin when showering and clean with soap and water

  4. Here’s what you can do… • 2. Wear Protective Equipment • Males should use a cup with an athletic supporter during sports such as baseball, football.

  6. Here’s what you can do… • 3. Practice Abstinence – not having sex before marriage. • This will help you avoid STD’s • STD’s – sexually transmitted disease • STD’s can cause sores, swelling, redness, rashes, and other dangerous infections on reproductive organs

  7. Here’s what you can do… • 4. Perform self-exams • Males should gently message each testicle to detect any bumps or abnormalities • Do this at least once a month • Looking for signs of testicular cancer! • Earlier the detection, the easier it is to treat!

  8. Here’s what you can do… • 5. Get regular check-ups! • You should see a doctor at least twice year for a routine physical examination!
