  5. Connection Charlayne’s Life Grew up during the civil rights movement. Blacks knew they would be treated differently from whites. Restaurants wouldn’t serve them She was denied admission to a club for teens

  6. To Kill A Mockingbird There was racism in the story Black people had to sit in the balcony in the courtroom. Tom Robinson was treated unfairly during the trial.
