Why did you choose FIT? • I choose FIT ( Fashion institute of Technology) because I have always wanted to be involved In fashion, and I think this school would help me towards becoming a fashion stylist. They offer majors in fashion design and other interesting programs to push me towards becoming a major fashion icon.
History of Fashion institute of Technology Max Meyer, was the founder of this school.("Fashion Institute of Technology") . Established in 1944, Located on west 27th street. It’s a nine building campus including television, radio studios, labs, design workshops, and exhibition Galleries. FIT serves over 6,500 full time and 3,000 part time students. They also have Four dormitories, three are on campus, and serve 2,300 students and offer a variety of accommodations ("History of the Museum")
Requirements • Essay,(A two page typed essay explaining your interest in the program including pertinent work and travel experience) • transcripts: Request(transcripts, diplomas, and/or certificates) • Letters of recreation: Two letters of recommendation, one academic and one professional. • Interview: people are contacted by the Office of Graduate Studies to schedule an interview • Resume • GPA:3.0 • Dead lines: August 19 - 23 • ("Admissions Requirements")
Campus Life The campus is in Manhattan. That means the next chapter of your life will begin in a city that is a world capital of the arts, business, technology and design. The FIT campus is a tight community in Manhattan It’s one of the most vibrant areas of the city, with cafes, art galleries, boutiques, theaters, museums and restaurants . To more than 2,300 students, FIT is home. And even though this is New York City, theylike to bring a personal attitude to campus living. They provide counselors and student staff who live in the residence halls who are ready to offer helpful advice about going to school in New York. They’ve had experience and their there to help ("Housing")

Conclusion • I Think this school would fit my needs and help me toward a fashion carrier. I also think the tuition is high but you get what you pay for. You are able to earn your bachelors which is what I want. The location is perfect because I was born and raised in New York so I would know how to travel if needed, I also have relatives I can visit.
