folktale: a traditional story handed down by the people of a country or region from one generation to the next.
fairy: a tiny imaginary being in human form who has magical powers.
heroine: the main female character in a story, poem or play.
culture: the customs, beliefs, and ways of living that belong to a group of people

We will be rereading Cinderella together pg. 270 • You will be working in your groups to sequence the story of Cinderella, the first team to complete this task will be rewarded!! • You will be journaling on how Cinderella’s life was changed by her fairy godmother.
Fairy Tales Wednesday

We will be discussing stereotypes. You will be working in pairs (the hat will assign you) to read and analyze fairy tales. • You will be working in groups to write a fairy tale. Everyone must participate, points are given! • Listen and read along to the c.d. of Yeh-Shen.
Fairy Tales Thursday
You will be working in pairs (the hat will assign you) to read and fill out the story map for Yeh-Shen. • You will be working with a partner to sequence the fairy tale “The Three Little Pigs” and you may add pictures. • Then you will sequence Cinderella on your own by making a chain of events.
Fairy Tales Friday
You will be journaling about if you could change places with any fairy tale character, who would it be? • Fairy Tale Quiz • As you finish the quiz you may read a fairy tale of your choice.
