  2. Identification of Students • Grade by Subject (sort by RIT band) • Three main focuses from this report • Title I • ESS • Accelerated courses

Title I- RTI Intervention Tier II • Below grade level (see 2008 Normative Data) in both Reading and Math • 45 minutes • Go to this “Learning Lab” in small groups of approximately 5 students instead of one of their “Encore” classes (aka art, music, keyboarding, etc) • Reassess in Fall and Winter • Not “homework help” time…skill building is the focus

  4. ESS- RTI Intervention Tier II • Identify students below grade level in either Math or Reading (see 2008 Normative Data) • 1 hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays • After school in Compass Lab • Not “homework help” time…skill building is the focus

  5. Accelerated Courses • Math (grades 5-8 with 7th grade Algebra, 8th grade Algebra or Geometry) • Reading • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) • Identification based on top MAP scores and teacher identification

  6. Goal Setting • School priority on growth for ALL students and not solely those not at grade level • Goals set for all students in reading and math • Dynamic Reports • Student Goal Setting Worksheet • Student Rewards • Teacher Rewards • Teacher talk/share about differentiation for ALL students to meet goals

  7. Master Schedule Adjustments • 1 day per week for all students in Compass Lab at personal skills level in reading • 1 day per week for all students in Compass Lab at personal skills level in math • Title I in place of an “Encore” class for remediation of skills
