Taking the turtle tagging team by surprise after emerging from the water in the afternoon (most turtles nest at night time), C now resides on the west side of Qatar close to the Zikreet peninsula after travelling more than 300km during the race. She emerged to lay eggs on a beach inside RasLaffan Industrial City, Qatar at 6.30pm and by 9.30pm she was still laying eggs. It seemed to take forever, but after laying 93 eggs she was fitted with a transmitter and has been sending signals of her locations ever since.
