Activities as of 01/08/2012 Recent Conference Performance Accomplishments • IECEC 2011 organization successful • ASM 2012 organization successful • Highlights article December 2011 • Roster updated January 2012 • Annual report completed January 2012 • Collaboration especially with APS TC and GE PC • Energy Systems Award 2011 • 1 TC member received Sustained Service Award in 2010 • 1 TC member received the Propellants and Combustion Award in 2010 • 1 new TC member received the Energy Systems Award in 2010 ASM 2012 IECEC 2011 Abstracts Received: 42 Abstracts Accepted: 40 Sessions: 7 Withdrawals/No-Shows: 0 Abstracts Received: 60 Abstracts Accepted: 55 Sessions: 11 Withdrawals/No-Shows: 0 Issues / Help Needed • Our TC is behind time on Newsletter development and cooperation with ASME energy Initiatives & Plans Financial Status and Other Activities • Greater participation with emphasis on green energy and renewable energy topics • Greater liaisons with APS TC and GE PC are planned • Greater liaisons with ASME energy are planned • Greater emphasis on Newsletter development • Strong involvement with the new Green Engineering PC • Strong university membership with high level of AIAA status on the TES TC • Need to further emphasize new younger members to join the TC
