Conduct Grades Kindergarten teachers base conduct grades on the behavior calendars (sticker charts, behavior charts) which they send home everyday. Kindergartners must master proper school behavior in order to be ready to learn the academic knowledge and skills. These behaviors will help them in their lives beyond school, as well. E – chooses to act in a responsible and respectful manner most of the time and has several stars on the behavior calendar. S – acts responsible most of the time, responds to redirection to make better choices, and has mostly stickers on the behavior calendar. N – needs lots of redirection to make better choices and has less than ½ of the calendar filled with stickers U – has needed the principal to be involved and still chooses to make poor behavior choices – little or no improvement in behavior Please sign below and return this portion to your child’s classroom teacher. This will acknowledge that you have received the grading guidelines and have had the opportunity to ask for clarification. Thank you!
