Simulation: Trust Core Agenda • The Trust has a unified Simulation Training Committee, • The Committee is made up of dedicated people with different specialist interests from across the trust • The remit of this Committee is to : • Coordinate and control simulation training throughout the Trust • Develop a strong faculty to deliver any training • Develop different courses for different specialities • Finds ways of generating funds from simulation • Employ a Clinical Skills/Simulation facilitator

  4. Simulation so far: Maidstone hospital • Facilities: • Converted parts of post grad into simulation suite and control room and installed audiovisual links to all of our teaching rooms • Purchased SimMan 3G and Gaumard paediatric and new born HALs • Faculty: • 25 strong faculty

Simulation so far: Maidstone Hospital • Courses: • FY1- All 57 trainees across trust completed training last month • FY2- Simulation taster sessions • Faculty development course- 11th July • Inaugural anaesthetic course- 29th July • Future in house courses in development • FY2 • Obs • Paeds • Critically ill course • Job plan written for Clinical Skills/Simulation facilitator

  6. Simulation so far: Tunbridge Wells Hospital @ Pembury • New hospital opens fully in September • Within education centre • Simulation suite: ITU/Theatre • 3 clinical skills labs • 1 basic room • 2 advanced • 1 wet lab • Equipment wish list • SimMan 3G, SimMom • Skills trainers for the clinical skills labs • Anaesthetic and Obstetric simulation
