US THE NEST All students and staff are welcome in the Nest for games, movies, and other fun events A meeting group for individuals who have self-identified as a sexual minority PRISM See Mr. York for more information about The Nest, PRISM, and US PRISM stands for Pride and Respect for Individuals of a Sexual Minority

  3. HYPERCUSSION TECH CREW Tech Crew supports SMH assemblies, liturgies and other special events Learning and performing on percussion instruments Thursdays, Room 141 When? Room 133 On Thursdays MATH CLUB MEDIA CLUB Producing videos and short films for personal interest and special events Preparing for math contests Thursdays, Room 108 When? Room 133 On Thursdays

DANCE TEAM DANCE CLUB • An auditioned team which performs at liturgies/assemblies Tues, Wed 7:30 – 8:30 Aerobics Room Anyone is welcome – no experience required. • Be active and learn something new. Make a new friend or two. Wednesdaymornings7:30-8:30 Aerobics Room JUNIOR AND SENIOR BAND Junior- Performance-based band for beginner students Senior- Performance-based band for students with experience

  5. GOLF CLUB SQUASH CLUB Play squash at Northfield racquet club. Beginners or experienced players are welcome! The commitment is once a week on a day to be decided by club members Students will get group golf lessons. Golf club runs for four weeks between May and June YOGA We will meet Thursday mornings at 7:30 until 8:30 am. The first day is October 3rd.

  6. PRO-LIFE CLUB Pro Life students will participate in the 40 Days for Life Vigil as well as the March for Life Protest in Ottawa. Monthly meeting will be held on Mondays in the chapel SOCIAL ACTION TEAM Learn about social justice andtake action! We have at least one social justice initiative per month. Meetings are after school on Wednesdays in Room 311

  7. SMH DRAMA PRODUCTIONS Plays or musicals performed by students for paying audiences. Rehearse for a few months (usually 2x per week and some weekends) and then present. Parts by audition. Technical positions available as well. First Semester Show – The Secret Garden directed by student PiotrMrugacz, teacher supervisor Ms. Phillips Sears Festival – a student directed piece that will be presented as part of this festival (late first semester, early-mid second semester) – teacher supervisor – Mrs. DeMarco Second Semester Show – TBA, directed by Ms. Kirvan

  8. SCIENCE CLUB PHYSICS CLUB Preparing for Physics contests . Tuesday 3:10 – 4:10 pm in room 333; first meeting on Oct 1. See Dr. C for more information. Preparing for various events around southern Ontario focusing on scientific principles and skills. Club begins at the start of second semester. ART CLUB DECA Creating art work, learning new art skills and advertising posters. Come to Room 218 on alternating Tues. Business Competitions & Conferences Thursdays in 336

  9. Compete in Stock Market competitions, see Mr. Devlin for more details. INVESTING CLUB Students interested in writing for the school newspaper. Everyone is welcome! Rm. 210 Weds. 8:30am SMH EDITION NEWSPAPER Students work at their own pace on bronze, silver and gold levels. Activities involve Community Service, Skill Development, and an Adventure Journey. Meetings are a few times a semester. DUKE OF EDINBURGH KEY CLUB • Fundraise and provide service, build character and develop leadership within the school, and community. Every Thursday morning 8:30 in Alumni Hall

  10. TRIATHLON CLUB BLENDED BICYCLE REPAIR Open to relays or individuals. The meetings will begin in May and the triathlon is on the first Tues. of June. Bicycles are refurbished from the city landfill and put back into the community. No experience is required. Room 137Thursday Starts October MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB Ride RideRide! Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 pm.

  11. Studying the Bible and its relevance in our school community and beyond. Tuesday 3:10 – 4:10pm in room 215 Variety of board games from around the world are introduced and played. Anyone is welcome – no board game experience necessary. Rm. 210 Thursday 3:05- 4:45pm BIBLE STUDY GROUP BOARD GAME CLUB Seasonal excursions throughout the school year. Hiking, canoeing, and camping. Occasional trips into the great Canadian Outdoors OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CLUB

  12. WOOD WORKING Come out and make something out of wood! See Mr. Scanlan and Mr. Sanders for details PING PONG Forrest Gump says, “Life is like…oh, never mind…just see Mr. Hammermueller about joining the ping pong club!”
