Why is it matter in China? • “Various domestic surveys conducted at both elite and mass levels have consistently ranked corruption as one of China’s top political challenges and social problems.” • The Supreme People's Procuratorate(SPP) announced: In the past five years 6,205 malfeasant officials nationwide were investigated and punished for their illegal activities. -What can they overuse with their power?( In two major ways) • -First of all, in some of the cases corruptions have been taken in forms of ostensibly legal official expenditures (or “privatized official consumption”). • -Secondly, many of the corrupted local officials have transformed their jurisdictions into virtual “mafia states,” where they collude with criminal elements and unsavory businessmen in illegal activities.

Embezzle: in some of the cases corruptions have been taken in forms of ostensibly legal official expenditures (or “privatized official consumption”). For example, more and more local governments have started to build massive administrative office buildings that resemble luxurious mansions. Example: “poison” land Government officials colluded with those property developers to hide the information of the land. Those poison lands made workers died, pregnant women abortion, and fetus deformity.
The figure illustrates problem • The average age: 50.8 However, according to these years’ reports, the average age of government official corruption is getting younger and younger. Yong government officials have weak “immune”, thus face to material desire, they are easier to corrupt
The causes of government official corruption • Human’s nature instincts • The manage system is nominal and imperfect. • Government officials hand in glove. • Desire for larger power.
Result • There some many government officials corruptions in China now, but common people earning less and less. • It leads foreign defiance. • Arouse popular indignation. • Laws’ revision helped them to absolve or extenuate their crime • They use their power bully common people.
