Taylorville LWMP Case Study The Taylorville LWMP Case Study Committee was established in mid-2005 and currently consists of 9 irrigators from across the Taylorville region. This committees input will be integral to the development of the Taylorville LWMP, which is to be upgraded to maximise its effectiveness. Key Issues to be Addressed Salt loads to the River Murray and associated floodplains; Irrigation Drainage and the Taylorville Irrigation Mound; Wetland Health – Primarily Big and Little Toolunka wetlands. Irrigation Development in Taylorville Total Irrigated Properties - 63. Total Areaof Irrigated horticulture - 1929 ha. Crop Types – 48% Vine Fruit, 18% Citrus Fruit, 10% Vegetables, 4% Nut Trees, Other 20%. Irrigation Systems – 31% Drip, 24% Overhead, 22% Micro-sprinkler, 9% Under-Canopy, Other 14%. Crop Ages – 0-3 years = 24%, 4-6 years = 14%, 7-9 years 13%, 10+ years = 43%, No Data = 6%. Above - Possible LWMP Case Study Area.
