Champion and provide minimally invasive treatment protocols, when and where appropriate, that are consistent with the long-term health and needs of the patient

9. AACD Accreditation Dentistry’s most passionate and committed practitioners
Written Examination
Clinical Case Submissions & Reports
Oral Examination [Dentists and lab technicians can choose to pursue AACD Accreditation. Each member pursuing Accreditation must follow a rigorous protocol that is designed to test his or her knowledge in cosmetic dentistry.
AACD Accreditation is a three-part process: First, the Accreditation written examination must be passed. The multiple-choice written examination tests your core knowledge in cosmetic dentistry. Two workshops: the Accreditation Workshop and the Criteria Workshop must also be attended.
Second, members move on to the most challenging part of the program, the Clinical Case Submissions and Reports, the core of the Accreditation testing process. The Clinical Case Submissions and Reports allows members pursuing Accreditation to demonstrate diagnostic skills and clinical excellence. Five specific types of cosmetic dental treatments covering a variety of techniques are required to demonstrate excellence in cosmetic dentistry.
Finally, the Oral Exam must be passed. The Oral Exam provides an opportunity to verify and authenticate passed casework while providing an opportunity to demonstrate treatment planning abilities.]

Give Back A Smile (GBAS) restores the smiles—and lives—of domestic violence survivors [The AACD Charitable Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Academy. Through Give Back A Smile (GBAS), AACD members give back to their communities by restoring the smiles—and the dignity—of survivors of domestic violence.
AACD member volunteers donate their time and expertise to restore their smiles and their lives.
To date, more than 950 domestic abuse cases have been completed. In our most recent year alone, more than $1.8 million in goods and services were donated in support of the GBAS program. And every dollar donated is leveraged 16 times in goods and services.][The AACD Charitable Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Academy.
