Human & Physical Features The population of Jamaica is around 150 times smaller than the U.S. Here are some more facts about Jamaica’s human and physical features. To begin with, the life expectancy in Jamaica is 72.6 years, however,the U.S is 78.2 years. The total area of Jamaica is 4,224 miles, that is a tenth of the size of Pennsylvania. The literacy rate of Jamaica is 80%. Out of every 100,000 people in Jamaica,only 85 are doctors. To sum it those were some quick facts about Jamaica’s human and physical features.
Flag Jamaica’s flag was adopted on August 6,1962.There are many other facts about Jamaica’s flag. For one, Jamaica's flag is not just a flag,it has a meaning to it.The black triangles represent theadversity Jamaica has overcome, and thehardships that may come in the future.The golden saltire stands for mineral wealth, and sunlight. The green triangles mean hope and agriculture. Another flag fact is the original Jamaican flag design looked similar to the Tanganyikan design which caused Jamaica’s flag to be rejected.To sum it up,those were some interesting flag facts.
