How We Do Business • FY2014 budget over $209M • 852 Total “Team” C3CEN including: 111 officers, 110 enlisted, 154* civilian (GS) and 477 contractors • * (includes 16 detached duty GS from other commands) • Main facility located in Portsmouth, VA (offices, labs and classrooms) • Electronics Repair Facility in Baltimore, MD • Detached Duty personnel in Alexandria and Norfolk, VA; Oakland, CA; E-City, NC • Product Line Management Approach:Provide the required level of affordable readiness for assets by managing the entire life cycle • Complete control, cradle-to-grave support – better for the operator • Consistent with other Coast Guard Service Centers/Logistics Centers (ALC, SFLC, SILC) • Core Technologies:The life cycle management of asset classes that span across multiple Product Lines • Does not have control of the physical assets (assets are deployed across the fleet) • Contract Approach: Government acts as the systems integrator. Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol The DGPS service is at a crossroads and it is time to consider better and more affordable methods to deliver DGPS corrections.

What We Do • The Remote Mission Systems Product Line provides, delivers, and maintains fixed facility VHF/UHF SAR and LE communications, nationwide automatic identification of vessels in harbors and harbor approaches, and electronic aids to navigation in support of the 11 Coast Guard missions described in the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and the DCMS Mission Support Handbook of 2010.
