MAS OFFERS • Engineering will determine if the proposed product (vehicle, component, device, etc.) or service is technically acceptable for the SIN proposed by the vendor • To do this Engineering needs: • A complete commercial description of the vehicle or item • When available, photos of the actual vehicle or item • When available, detailed drawings of the actual vehicle or item • The proposed SIN the vehicle or item should be evaluated against • If a vehicle or item is offered with option(s), the option(s) should be listed individually for that vehicle or item

  14. WHAT IF SOMETHING IS WRONG ???? • Do not panic !! • Work with the manufacturer to resolve small issues • Major issues may require rework and delays • Discuss issues/changes with thecontracting officer • If you ordered it wrong, you get it wrong

  15. ACCEPTANCE • After thevehicle is inspected and approved • Industrial Operations Analyst (IOA) will complete:- GSA Form 308 (Notice of Inspection) or - DD250 (Material Inspection and Receiving Report) • Submit to the MAS contractor - authorizes release of the vehicle for shipment

  16. RECEIVING THE TRUCK • Local dealer • The customer’s facility (consignee) • Department of Transportation (DOT) walk-around • Inventory loose equipment, manuals, certificates
