Operational Requirements • Limited to 100 hours per year operation for maintenance checks and readiness testing [40 CFR 60.4211(e)] • Operate and maintain according to manufacturer’s written instructions, or procedures developed by the Permittee that are approved by the engine manufacturer [40 CFR 60.4211(a)][40 CFR 60.4206] • Engine must have a non-resettable hour meter [40 CFR 60.4209(a)]

Fuel Requirements • Fuel Sulfur Content: • 10/1/07 – 10/1/10 • Sulfur content: 500 ppm • A minimum cetane index of 40 or a maximum aromatic content of 35 volume percent [40 CFR 60.4207(a)] • After 10/1/10 • Sulfur content: 15 ppm • A minimum cetane index of 40 or a maximum aromatic content of 35 volume percent [40 CFR 60.4207(b)]

Record Keeping • In addition to standard records: • Maintain a copy of engine manufacturer data indicating compliance with the emission standards [40 CFR 60.4211(b)(3)] • Maintain a copy of the engine manufacturer’s written operating instructions, or operating procedures developed by the Permittee that are approved by the engine manufacturer [40 CFR 60.4211(a)]
