He had been employed as an assistant professor at Auburn University. Amarjit Mishra is a highly accomplished researcher with more than 15 years of experience in the study of respiratory diseases.

AMARJIT MISHRA AUBURN UNIVERSITY RESEARCH STORY Amarjit Mishra worked as a researcher and postdoctoral fellow at the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Branch of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the third largest Institute of the National Institutes of Health, located in Bethesda, Maryland, before joining Auburn University in Alabama as an Assistant Professor in 2017.

According to Amarjit Misra, the respiratory system’s immune system is similar to that of other organ systems in that both innate and acquired systems collaborate to identify and remove foreign substances while preserving homeostasis and proper function. The respiratory system is mostly exposed to the external environment, which contains a wide range of microorganisms, particles, gases, and foreign materials.
