2. Ltd. “A vide” is a private design company that was founded in 2001.Company has rights to perform the following: • architectural planning; • water supply and drainage design; • design of telecommunication systems and networks; • road design, realization and supervision of constructive works.

3. There are 18 employees in the company, includingcivil engineers, programmers, experts of telecommunications, water supply and drainage design. The computerized medium AutoCAD, which is being used for designing estimates and graphical support, enables to create a flexible, operative correction mechanism. All the employees have mastered the principles and methods of computerizeddesigning. Employees of the company havecertificates of building practiceand professional conformityin a matter of development of lines of communication. Ltd. “A vide” also performsgeotechnical trial worksin the whole national territory – both insupervisionof autoroads, streets etc. and inconsultingquestions related with road design.

13. “TIA” is an association of 13 Latvian engineer-consulting companies, which have joined for reaching common goals. Their basic activity includes design of traffic buildings, supervising, project management and other consulting services related with development and maintenance of traffic buildings. The turnover of “TIA” partners in 2006 was 13,1 million Ls, and the number of employees was 440 – mostly consulting engineers. The ability of “TIA” partners to provide necessary and qualitative services is assured by objects like detour road around Saulkrasti, restored spans of Via Baltica enroute from Lithuanian border to Ainazi, new bridges over Daugava in Riga and Gauja in Adazi and many other objects in the whole national territory.

Partners of the association have defined their main tasks and objectives: • to raise the prestige and popularity of transportation profession; • cooperation with public and local authorities about necessary changes in laws and regulations; • participation in development of training system and strategy for transportation specialists, as well as in elaboration of concept of transportation development; • partners’ interest protection in Latvia and foreign countries; • other tasks that are conducive to development of the sphere, increase quality of partners’ supplied services and provide client and society satisfaction with them.

16. To achieve it’s aims, the association is willing to cooperate with civic and politic organizations of all levels, educational institutions, public and local authorities, physical and legal entities in Latvia and foreign countries. The association is open to affiliation of new partners and ready to work for clients and society to attain the central aim – creating the highest quality transportation infrastructure in Latvia in after years.
