  6. SO.. How do we turn a container into an eco-friendly home ? WE have gone to the Nedbank Green living guide to fully convert our container to a home. This guide helps us contribute to sustainable lifestyle by introducing cost- effective features that will make green living convenient. The guide believes that sustainable living is a commitment to an abundant future AND SO DO WE. 6 6

  7. It’s the little details.. We know that containers may make one feel claustrophobic by heat retention and being a small space, so we let natural light and ventilation take care of that. • We try to position our large windows in such a way that a good amount of sunlight brightens up the house in the morning and the warmth is kept even during the evening sun set. • We prefer sliding doors leading to a wooden deck (of any size) as it allows the house to feel like a bigger space while allowing fresh air to circulate the house. • In this way we ensure that we create an environment that enhances good health and well being.

  10. We are obsessed with the SDG’s !! Here are the main goals we set out to achieve (for now). The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They aim to irradiate the challenges faced by the world’s population; poverty, inequality, climate change, peace and injustice.

  11. EDUCATING OUR HOME OWNERS • When we introduce a new home owner to his/her eco- friendly home. Our environmentalists educate them on the design and purpose. • We show our new homeowners basic steps to incorporate green living into their lives, in simple/ convenient ways.

  12. Maintenance of our HOMES • We plan to employ maintenance teams around the country to ensure our homes remain at the same standard it was built on. We have installed recycle bins in our eco- friendly homes which are collected and waste is dealt with appropriately on a weekly basis. • Performance monitoring devices installed with the equipment and appliances ensures that we do not exceed certain limitations. We also use this information to improve our design for future homes.

  13. FUTURE PROJECTS WE WISH TO DEVELOP OUR ECO-FRIENDLY PROJECT TO BUILD SCHOOLS, OFFICE BUILDINGS AND EVENTUALLY SHOPPING CENTRES.

  14. EMPLOYMENT IN ACHIEVING OUR GOAL, WE ARE CREATING HUNDREDS OF JOBS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, RANGING FROM QUALIFIED EXPERTS TO UNQUALIFIED ESSENTIAL PERSONEL. This is our way of increasing employment rates and providing an income to households. We ensure our entire business operation helps to eradicate poverty. 14 14
